Red Dead Redemption 2 Secret Easter Egg – The Aztec Secret
In Red Dead Redemption 2 you can find a secret message from a major character of Red Dead Redemption: Undead Nightmare.
Some mysterious Aztec symbols can be found scattered around Blackwater. If you inspect them, your character will draw them in his journal (this can be easily done during or after the Epilogue of the game).
These symbols correspond to the first five days of the Aztec calendar called Tลnalpลhualli. The numbers can be rearranged and converted using the Polybius Square cipher to reveal a hidden message left by Ayauhtรฉotl, the Aztec Goddess from Red Dead Redemption: Undead Nightmare.
The message “Blessed are the Peacemakers” is a reference to the inscription that John Marston will have on his grave at the end of the first game. Some people also believe that it could be some sort of teaser for a possible DLC for Red Dead Redemption 2.
It’s also worth noting that the cursed mask from Undead Nightmare can be found on a shelf at the Fence in Saint Denis.
